About our team…

Robert Brown

Robert Brown, MS, CPO, LPO (PA)

Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist

Clinic Manager

Robert started his career as a technician in his father’s P&O practice in Ithaca, NY when he decided to formally pursue a career as a Prosthetist-Orthotist.

After completing his degree in P&O from the University of Texas Southwestern he returned to his father’s practice.  After five years Robert decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Allied Health Science, with a focus in clinical management, education, and research, at the University of Connecticut.  While attending UConn he continued to hone his clinical skills at Newington Children's Hospital and the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

After completing the master’s program, he accepted a position at the University Of Rochester Medical Center as Clinical Director, then Chief of Orthotics and Prosthetics where he managed an exciting and diverse clinic, working with patients of all ages and with a broad spectrum of clinical needs.

He has been an active contributor to the profession, having served on the board of directors for the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (AAOP), and through participation on the Exam Development Committee of The American Board for Certification for Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC).

Robert is excited to have joined C.D. Denison, stating that whether he is designing a new set of AFOs or a leg or arm prosthesis, the satisfaction of helping to elevate the qualilty of life for his patients and their families is as rewarding now as it was nearly 40 years ago in his father’s P&O shop.
